This is the independent WEB site for the Society Hill at Piscataway Condominium Association, located in Piscataway, NJ. This site is not sponsored, endorsed, or supported by the Association, the Board of Trutees, or the Managment Company. It is run by a former member of the Board of Trustees.
Much of the content from the prior Association's WEB site has been moved here. However, since this site is not connected to the management systems, it no longer supports on-line service requests, reminders, on-line payments and account history, and owner/tenant/vehicle updating.
If you are looking for the Association's official new WEB site, they don't really have one - it's just a payment portal for the monthly fees.
2024 Election Results by Kevin Wine, Oct 24, 2024, 11:01 PM, reply, branch, edit
The 2024 Election took place on Tuesday. The results were:
Fatma Ahsan - 103
John Fakla - 91
Zahid Khan - 109
Patricia Mincarelli - 99
Matthew Phillips - 108
Yuging (Mona) Wan - 109
Zahid Khan, Matthew Phillips, and Mona Wan were elected to the board. I know I often warn about elections being close, and this was one of those times - only 5 votes separated 3rd and 4th place. Although I was hoping we would pickup at least 2 seats, this is still progress and will likely change the board dynamic in a positive direction.
After the results were announced, the board internally elected the officers:
Mohiuddin Syed - President
Kevin Wine - Vice President
George Tsacnaris - Treasurer
Mona Wan - Secretary
The results were another interesting data point. The Hill is clearly divided. This was a best-case scenario for the board leadership - they campaigned hard, there were no "extra" candidates on the ballot this year, and they had control of the administrative machinery - and it was still close to a tie.
There are so many serious issues that need to be handled, urgently, and I am looking forward to finally addressing them in a logical manner that keeps as many owners as happy as possible. This was always the challenge. Winter is coming and we have snow equipment issues to address, we really need to take serious steps to avoid any more slip-and-fall insurance claims and burning buildings, and we are facing a huge maintenance fee increase, to list just a few of the problems. The next open board meeting is November 19th, with a closed workshop session scheduled for later this month.
Thank you to all the owners that voted and continue to support the mission!
Kevin
