Society Hill at Piscataway Board of Trustees

The Board of Trustees meets monthly at the Clubhouse to conduct association business in an open public forum. All owners are allowed to attend the meetings. The public meeting starts around 7PM. If there is a closed executive session, board member only meeting, it is from 6PM to 7PM. The public forum portion is at the beginning of the meeting. If you have comments, concerns, or suggestions that is your opportunity to voice them to the Board.

Board meetings are generally held on the third Thursday of every month, unless there is a conflict with a holiday. By law, the association is required to hold a minimum of 4 Board of Trustee meetings per year. The meeting schedule for the current year is:

Thursday, January 20, 2022
Thursday, February 17, 2022
Thursday, March 17, 2022
Thursday, April 21, 2022
Thursday, May 19, 2022
Thursday, June 16, 2022
Thursday, July 21, 2022
August, 2022 (no meeting)
Thursday, September 15, 2022
October 27, 2022 (no meeting, annual meeting instead)
Thursday, November 17, 2022
December, 2022 (no meeting, annual meeting instead)

The agenda of the meetings are posted here on the WEB site as soon as they are available. The agenda is also posted on the outside bulletin-board at the clubhouse.

At every meeting, minutes are taken by the Secretary and made available for review at the Association office. They are also posted here on the WEB site. Generally, the minutes of a meeting are available during or after the next Board meeting. For example, the minutes of the March Board meeting would be available at or after the April Board meeting.

Every year there is also an Annual Meeting, at which the yearly election is held and the ballots are counted. The annual meeting is held on the anniversary of the month in which control of Society Hill at Piscataway was transferred to the residents, which is late October, so the meeting is usually scheduled for the third Monday in October

If you are interested, here is a history of past board members and annual elections.

If you are interested in serving on the Board of Trustees, you should fill out a Candidate Profile form and bring it to the Management Office. Your name, a brief profile you provide, and your reason for seeking election will then be included on the yearly election ballot mailed out to all the owners sometime in August.
